2026 Spring NVYLL Games/Season
Following assessments, Brigade boys play an 8-game spring season, competing against other clubs in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL). Practices run once per week in March, moving to twice weekly in April. Games run on weekends from the end of March through the weekend before memorial day. Once games begin, teams will generally have 2 weeknight practices in addition to their league games.
2026 NVYLL Season
- Practices Start: Week of March 1st
- Games: Weekends, March 22 - May 9
- Play-offs & Championship: May 16-17
New for 2026, NVYLL will introduce Sixes format to all 8U programs. By adopting USA Lacrosse Sixes, we can provide a more dynamic and inclusive experience that fosters skill development, encourages strategic thinking, and better prepares players for future competitive levels, all while maintaining the fun and excitement that draws young athletes to lacrosse.
2026 Spring 6U "Scoopers"
Our 6U "Scoopers" Lacrosse Program is the perfect introduction to the sport for young players! Through fun drills and interactive activities, kids will develop essential lacrosse skills like passing, catching, and shooting while building coordination and teamwork. With a focus on creating a positive, supportive environment, we aim to foster a love for the game that will last a lifetime. It's all about learning through play, making new friends, and discovering the excitement of lacrosse!
Continuing from 2025, full protective gear will be required as we align with other local 6U programs and start participating in activities with teams across the Northern Virginia area.
2026 Schedule:
- One practice per week beginning in mid-March, through the end of May
- A focus on fundamentals, fun, and early skill development
- Opportunities to participate in one or more tournament-style play days throughout the season
