The Spring season begins with pre-season clinics in January (Weather Permitting) to help players and coaches shake the dust off of their gear and skills in preparation for assessments.

February kicks off Assessments of all players in order to group  teams by appropriate NVYLL age and skill divisions, weather permitting.  

2025 Spring Assessments: Saturdays: February 1, 8, 15

Following assessments, Brigade boys play an 8-game spring season, competing against other clubs in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL).    Practices run once per week starting in February, increasing to two practices per week in March.  Games run on weekends from the end of March through the weekend before memorial day.  Once games begin, teams will generally have 2 weeknight practices in addition to their league games. 

2025 NVYLL Season

• Practices Start: February 22th
• Games: Weekends, March 22 - May 11
• Play-offs & Championship: May 17-18

Each spring Brigade runs clinics for 6U ages players. These players participate in drills and activities aimed at building fundamental skills and instilling a love of the game.   The only gear requirement is a lacrosse stick, with gloves being optional but recommended.
