PRE-SEASON CLINICS

The Spring season begins with pre-season clinics in January to help players and coaches shake the dust off of their gear and skills in preparation for assessments.

2024 Pre-Season Schedule: Saturdays: January 13, 20, 27

• 11:00a - 12:30p: G78 (Gainesville Middle School)
• 12:30p - 2:00p: G56 (Gainesville Middle School)
• 2:00p - 3:00p: K/2 & G34 (Gainesville Middle School)

SPRING ASSESSMENTS

February kicks off Assessments of all players in order to group teams by appropriate NVYLL age and skill divisions, weather permitting.   We may attempt to run K/2 and G34 assessments indoors when facilities are available, while G56 & G78 are generally held on the Turf Field at Gainesville Middle School.

2024 SPRING NVYLL SEASON

Following assessments, Brigade girls play an 8-game spring season, competing against other clubs in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL).    Practices run once per week starting in February, increasing to two practices per week in March.  Games run on weekends from the end of March through the weekend before memorial day.  Once games begin, teams will generally have 2 weeknight practices in addition to their league games.

• Games: Weekends, March 23 - May 12
• Play-offs & Championship: May 18-19
